Are self storage units insured? Do I need insurance?
Goods held in self-storage remain the responsibility of the lessee (that’s you). The owner’s insurance covering the complex does not cover individual items within individual units. The Self Storage Association of Australasia strongly recommends that all customers take out insurance cover. We can organise insurance for you at very competitive prices. What options do I have to pay my rent?
You can organise to pay via cash, personal cheque, money order, bank cheque, direct debit, or easily pay your rent online with a credit card here. You can visit the site office during office hours and pay in person or arrange direct debit payments straight from your bank account. The choice is yours.
How long do I have to sign up for?
We offer month-to-month leases, meaning no contracts and no commitment, for as long as you need.
When can I get to my belongings?
For your convenience our storage facilities are open seven days a week from 6am to 6pm for entry to your unit. (24 hour access can be prearranged through the office.) More information on storage unit access
Can I purchase boxes and packing supplies at your facilities?
Yes, we carry a variety of good quality packing boxes, locks and packing supplies to make your move easier.
I have various staff entering the unit, can you tell me who and when has the unit been entered?
Yes, multiple individual pass codes can be added to our security system, this means each staff member can have their own unique pass code and we can print or email an activity report showing date and time of entry and exit for each pass code used to the unit.
Is there a bond?
Yes, a bond of $100 is charged per storage unit.
Do the storage units have power?
Each unit has a light but no powerpoint.
How tall are self storage units?
The units range in height from 2.8 metres on the upper level, to 3 metres for the ground level and drive up storage units. For more info on the dimentions of our storage units - storage unit sizes.
How big is a car storage unit?
We have two options for car storage depending on the size of your vehicle. A small car storage unit is 5m long x 3m wide x 3m high, or 15 square metres. Our large car storage units are 6m long x 3m wide x 3m high, or 18 square metres.
How secure are self storage units?
Osborne Park Self Storage takes the security of your unit very seriously. Our facility is protected with CCTV camera monitoring, individual unit alarms and a key access security gate system.
What are storage unit sizes?
Our storage unit sizes vary depending on the level your unit is on. Our ground level units span from 1.5m long x 1.5m wide x 3.0m tall to 6.0m long x 3.0m wide x 3.0m tall. Our first level units start from 2.0m long x 1.4m wide x 2.8m tall to 2.8m long x 2.3m wide x 2.8m tall.
